Day 19
Dear Stylelife Challenger,
Here is your Stylelife Challenge Assignment for July 19th.
Today is all about...seeding.
TASK 1
Pull out your Stylelife calendar.
If you’ve misplaced it, you can get it here:
Handy Stylelife Calendar
Fill in events on the calendar – as well as selling points and reasons to go – every day until Tuesday, July 25th. The events can be anything from flea markets to restaurants to concerts to parties your friends are having to odd tourist destinations to the psychic you went to on Day 14.
Familiarize yourself with the activities, the dates you listed them on, and the reasons for going.
TASK 2
Listen to the following introduction to seeding:
Guess Who Bought A New Microphone
TASK 3
Seed three conversations today with an event from your calendar.
Two of these conversations can be with people you already know. One, however, has to be with a woman you’ve approached using one of your Stylelife openers.
The goal of today’s exercise is not to get a phone number or a date – if that does happen, great! The goal of the exercise is to practice seeding a casual conversation for a future meeting.
TASK 4 (Optional)
For extra credit:
If you’re advanced enough that you’re able to have a conversation with most people you approach, try the following experiment instead of Task 3.
The assignment is to practice seeding a conversation with four women who you’ve approached using a standard opener.
After the first two conversations, do not invite the woman to the event you’ve seeded.
After the second two conversations, casually invite her to “tag along” with you to the event.
Share any observation on the difference between the two types of interactions in the Stylelife Challenge forum.
TASK 5
Since for many Challengers, the hardest assignment to internalize was the one on Disqualification, here’s some extra help -- a cheat sheet on the subject. Enjoy:
