Day 29
Dear Stylelife Challenger,
Apologies for the lateness in posting today's assignment.
These kinds of things can happen in Vegas.
If this was a private site, I'd post a field report.
You'd enjoy it.
However, it's time to start posting your own field reports.
Make sure you've posted a field report in the Winner's Circle if you've been on any date or second meeting with a woman you've met during Challenge Month. Only people who've posted in the Winner's Circle will be eligible to win the Stylelife Challenge grand prize. The criteria you will be judged on by your peers include: most improvement, greatest contribution to the forum, and quality of winning field report.
For those who haven't yet arranged a date, we're going to mix it up for you today.
Here is your Stylelife Challenge Assignment for July 29th.
TASK 1
If you have not yet read the ebook on creating rapport, please do so now:
How To Create Rapport
TASK 2
Choose two of the three rapport exercises below to perform. These are ideally practiced with a woman you’ve just approached, but it’s okay to test them with a co-worker, a cashier, a friend of a friend, in an online chat with someone new, or with anyone you’ve just met.
A. Making and Breaking Rapport
During the following exercise, watch the other person’s reaction as you instantly create rapport and then instantly destroy it.
Have a conversation LIKE the following:
You: Where are you from?
Her: [whatever city]
You: Oh my god, no way. I grew up there too. What school did you go to?
Her: [whatever school]
You: Get out of here. I went there too.
Her: [Really? What year were you? Etc]
You: Just kidding. I’ve never actually been there. [Said monotone and sarcastically:] Are you mad?
B. Rapport Test
This next exercise is designed to see if the person you’re talking to is striving to create rapport with you.
You: Out of curiosity, what’s the last CD you got or song you downloaded?
Her: [whatever]
You: Really? I’m surprised. I’m not the biggest fan of his/her/their music.
Her: [If she backpedals and says she’s not so into the music, this means she’s seeking rapport with you/If she tells you the reasons why she likes the music or disagrees with you, she either isn’t or is simply confident in her opinions and taste.]
C. Physical Rapport
This exercise is designed to show the power of body language to make someone comfortable or uncomfortable.
During a conversation with someone you are comfortable with, cross your arms and turn away from them while they are talking. If seated, cross your legs away from them as well. Stay like that for a few minutes.
See if they begin to get rattled or uncomfortable when speaking. Then uncross your arms and turn back towards them. If they are a good friend, you may ask them if they noticed or felt a difference when you broke physical rapport.
TASK 3
Read the following ebook on working the personals:
Online Game
TASK 4
If you have not yet been on a date or arranged for women you’ve met to come to your Stylelife party, it’s time to work the Internet.
You have the option of trying both the traditional personals sites, or one of the following FREE sites. Please note that the sites suggested below have most of their traffic in North America; if you are from Europe, Australia, Asia, or South America, feel free to use whatever networking site is most popular locally. You may share these sites on the Challenge message board if they are free, are not full of advertisements or fake profiles, and if you've successfully used them to meet women.
1. Craig's List
Check the “Personals” section. Post a profile in the “men seeking women” section. And respond to any NEW posts in the “women seeking men” section. Note that if any of the posts seem “too good to be true” in the “women seeking men” section, they are probably ads for escorts or webcams.
2. MySpace
If you already have a profile, scour the site and send emails to at least ten women. Send the same template email, with small details changed to fit their profile. You may also want to post a bulletin to draw people to your profile.
If you do not have a profile, create one. Add as many friends as you can, whether you know them or not, simply by exploring the site. Send emails to at least ten women.
Your goal is to make a date with a woman you’ve met online before the Challenge ends on July 31st.
